A reminder that this Tuesday the 28th of July the Worksop & District Table Tennis League are holding a mixed doubles event to try and increase the number of female players in our League.
We are asking for male players to bring along their wives, partners, daughters, sisters etc.
The male players will be using the League's 'Hard Bats' to try and make it a much leveller playing field so to speak and it will all add to the fun of the evening.
If any prospective playing partners haven't even picked up a bat before then please don't let that discourage them as there will be a number of first time players at the event.
By encouraging more women to take up the sport of table tennis in our area it will hopefully lead to more female players in our League.
The winners will recieve a prize of afternoon tea for two!The event will be held on Tuesday the 28th of July at Worksop Leisure Centre with a 7.00pm start and entry is free.
To enter please call Fiona Halpin-Stent on 01909 489096 or 07551 738195

Congratulations to The Little Monsters who were earlier tonight crowned Summer League Champions 2015!
Martynas and Orestas Riauba overcame the Westons Wonders pairing of Rick Harris and Helmuth Osbourne 8-7 in the semi final and then went on to face The OddBods of Andy Lee and Rob Vaughan in the final who themsleves defeated The Mishaps team of Paul Linfield, Adam Hamilton, Nigel Stent and Graham Stent 10-5 in their semi final.
The Riauba twins were too strong for Lee and Vaughan in the final winning all the singles games in straight sets and despite losing the doubles 2-0 they went on to claim a comfortable 12-3 win and with it the first prize of £110.00 with Lee and Vaughan sharing the second prize of £60.00.
The 3rd Place Final went the way of Westons Wonders who hammered The Mishaps 15-0 and took the £40.00 prize money leaving the Mishaps to share £15.00 for fourth place.
It's been a fantastic Summer League yet again and we look forward to more teams than ever entering next year!
