Focus on Young People in Bassetlaw, working in partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council Young Peoples Service have arranged their annual Fun Run/Walk for Sunday 12th May 2013.
The route is 10K (6 miles) and participants are invited to either run or walk the distance (most walk). Everyone is welcome both young and those who are a little more mature! But in the interest of the safety of participants dogs or cycles are not allowed.
Within the route are drinks stations and a mini bus regularly patrols the distance to pick up anyone who may be struggling. The event  starts at 10.30 a.m. (registration from 9.30 a.m.) from Lady Margaret Hall on the Welbeck Estate. The cost is £4.00 per head, which should be paid when registering, each participant completing the route will receive a medal.
If you decide to be involved you can raise funds for anyone including FOYPiB and if you would like a sponsorship form then please e-mail [email protected] however, it is not essential you can just enjoy the run/walk.
The Fun Run/Walk is becoming increasingly popular and numbers are limited, it is very important that you advise them of your interest and the approximate number of runners/walkers likely to attend by completing a form which you can also get by e-mailing [email protected] and returning it to the address on the form no later than Friday 3rd May 2013.
Please be aware that if you are bringing young people along then parental consent forms need to be organised by yourselves and all participants do the run/walk at their own risk.
