The DTH Worksop & District Table Tennis League supported the Sports Development Team of Bassetlaw District Council with their sports event that was staged on Farr Park located off Westgate in Worksop on Saturday.
The league were allocated their own area on site where they used a Robotic Serving Machine (courtesy of Redlands School) which stimulated immediate interest from those in attendance at the event.
A total of 55 participants were registered on the day ranging from 3 to 60 years of age confirming that table tennis is a sport for all cross sections of the community to enjoy.
The league are intending to take table tennis out to the wider community so as to provide an enjoyable experience for those not wanting to be involved in the competition side of the sport.
With so many individuals taking part the event proved to be a very successful and rewarding day for the league and they wish to extend their thanks to Redlands School and Ryton Park School for allowing them the use of a variety of equipment and thanks are also extended to the committee members who volunteered their services on the day.
