The Division One league table, doubles league and player averages have all been amended and updated now that all of Worksop Welfare Snipers 'A''s results have been removed due to their withdrawl from the league

Due to an illness to Jim Westwood that has ruled him out for the rest of the season at least, Division One side Worksop Welfare Snipers 'A' have unfortunately had to withdraw from the league as they simply cannot fulfil the rest of their remaining fixtures.
Even before Jim's illness they were struggling to field a side each week and Jim's setback has only made their selection issues reach an impossible position.
I hope everyone will join me in wishing Jim a speedy recovery and we hope to see him playing table tennis again in the not too distant future.
All of the results for Worksop Welfare Snipers 'A' for this season will be scrubbed from the records in the next few days and the Division One league table will reflect this in due course.

I would just like to say thank you to all the players who took part in the Annual Championships yesterday. Without you all getting on the tables quickly and scoring games we would have finished way later than the time that we actually did of 7.15pm.
A huge thanks to the following people that made the Championships happen and who helped to set the room up on Saturday and who helped on the day. Andy Lee, Dave Lee, Rick Harris, Nigel Stent, Fiona Halpin-Stent and Jo Lee.
All the results from yesterday's Annual Championships will be published on the website by the middle of this week.

Can everyone who is playing in the Annual Championships please make sure they read the below information.
Please find below the running order for the first stages of the Annual Championships on Sunday the 29th of January at Sparken Hill Academy.
Although the times are not set in stone (as we realise some matches take longer than others) can all players below please make sure that they are at Sparken Hill Academy in plenty of time.
Again the league will be supplying water Free Of Charge which has been donated by McDonalds in Worksop and we will again be running a tuck shop along with hot drinks but as it is a long day I recommend that you bring some lunch.
Can I remind ALL players that there is to be NO practicing on tables in between games as I will need to know that a table is free so I can place the next match on it.
Can I also remind everyone that the Committee will take a very dim view of any player that deliberately loses their first match in the Open Singles just so they can go straight into the Plate Singles to have a chance of winning that competition.
It has been done before in previous years and will not be tolerated.
As in previous years we will be playing on be six tables.
The first phase of matches will start at 9.00am prompt so can I ask that the players listed below in Phase One be at Sparken Hill for no later than 8.40am please.

If your name is not in the playing order above then please make sure you arrive for 10.00am at the latest.

In regards to the Plate Singles competition, as there is a high number of entries this year there will be a Preliminary Round in The Open Singles. Anyone that loses in the Preliminary Round of the Open Singles will automatically go into the Plate Singles competition.
If a player wins their Preliminary Round of the Open Singles but then goes on to lose in the first round proper of the Open Singles, they will not go into the Plate Singles Competition.
Only the players that had a bye into the First Round of the Open Singles and then lose in the First Round of the Open Singles will also go into the Plate Singles Competition.
Anyone who still owes money for their entry fees can bring them on the day and Rick Harris will be collecting any outstanding monies.
