Our Chairman Andy Lee and his wife to be Joanne McIntosh are going to be attempting the Worksop Half Marathon in aid of Cancer Research UK.
After only taking up running in January they must be slightly bonkers but they have undertaken 12 weeks of intense training to get in shape!
They have chosen Cancer Research as it's a charity close to them, both having lost family and friends to cancer.
If anyone would like to donate to their cause then please visit their Just Giving page http://www.justgiving.com/Joanne-Mcintosh2

Just so everyone is 100% clear, to be able to enter this seasons Annual Championships the rule states that you must have played a third of all league games by the closing date for entries (December 12th 2015) to qualify.
Divisions One and Two have 8 teams in them and have 10 league matches each scheduled before the closing date with Division Three containing 7 teams each with some having 9 matches and some having 8 matches.
The Committee have therefore decided that to qualify for entry into the Annual Championships a player must have played 3 league matches before December the 12th whichever division they are in.
Please note that if a player has played in the doubles in a game and not the singles it still qualifies them as having played in that match and will go towards their total matches played.

Can I please take this opportunity to remind all senior players that the use of any bad language during matches, especially when children are present is not acceptable.
Many people involved in Table Tennis in our area go to great lengths to try and attract young players to our league as they are the future of it so please be mindful of the language used when young players and their parents are in attendance as the last thing we want is to lose junior players because of it
