If anyone would like to donate a prize for our raffle on presentation night this Saturday then please let me know or just bring it along on the night.
In previous years we have had prizes donated such as bottles of wine, beers, tins of biscuits etc. but any prize would be most welcome.
Thank you in advance,

A reminder that the Worksop Masters event takes place this Tuesday the 30th of April at Stanley Street Club with a 7.00pm start and can I encourage as many of our players in the league to come down and support the event.
Our Sponsors Robert and David Hooton of DTH Engineering will be attending and love the event and as they also donate the prize money it would be fabulous for them to see a big turnout for the event.

All the fixtures for this year's Summer League can now be found on the League's website on the Summer League pages.
A reminder that you have to pay your fee on the night BEFORE you play each match and that no fixtures can be re-arranged.
Can I also ask that players get there in plenty of time so they can help set the tables up and that you also help putting them away again at the end of the night.
Good luck to everyone and remember there is prize money for the four teams making the semi-finals!

We now have 13 teams registered for this years Summer League which is great but ideally we could do with 16 to make two groups of 8 teams.
If there are any other layers wishing to play but do not have a team then let me know and we may well be able to make a team up of such players.

Worksop & District Table Tennis League have committed to attending part of the Bassetlaw Miles in May Showcase event on Worksop Old Market Square on Saturday 18th May.
The ‘Miles in May’ initiative is a cross-Bassetlaw project involving the NHS, Local Authorities, Voluntary Sector, Schools and Business to encourage as many local people, teams and organisations to complete 26 miles – the equivalent of a marathon (or as much as they can do ) – throughout the month of May in any way from running to swimming.
Linked to Mental Health Week, which this year has a focus on body image, the initiative seeks to promote the benefits of physical activity for wellbeing, mental and physical health.
On the 18th May in Old Market Square, Worksop Bassetlaw Council are holding a Miles in May Showcase event and are asking local groups to come and promote their groups by giving a demonstration of their skills and activities.
This will hopefully inspire people to try new activities and continue the life change made in May.
We think that this could be a great opportunity to help promote our league and the sport of table tennis and we are looking at putting a couple of tables up at the side of the Savoy Cinema at the top of town as we did a few years ago and we are asking for volunteers to help out on the day.
If anyone is interested in helping, even if it's for just a couple of hours then please e-mail me at [email protected] by this Saturday the 27th of April.
