With next week's Divisional Cup matches nearly upon us can I just remind everyone as to how the order of play and handicap system works.
Whoever has the highest individual average on the leagues website is classed as the number 1 ranked player for your team, whoever has the 2nd highest individual average on the leagues website is classed as the number 2 ranked player and so on.
Once the scorecard has been filled in accordingly following the principal above, you then work out each teams individual players handicap as follows:
For example, if a player has an individual average 91% then you take his individual average away from 100 which gives the player 9 handicap points.
Another example would be, if a player has an individual average 41% then you take his individual average away from 100 which gives the player 59 handicap points.
Once you have worked out all your teams handicap points, add them together and that will give you your teams total handicap points which you will add to the total of points scored on the table at the end of the match.
Games are up to 21 points with no deuce.
You will note on the website that the averages are actually to 2 decimal places and not 1, so a player may have an individual average of 92.48% so all you need to do is round it down to 92%, likewise if a player is on 91.52% then round it up to 92%.
There are three players who have an average of exactly .50 so if these players are chosen to play then please round them up and not down.
I am presuming that every team has a Cup Scorecard pad as no one has come back to me to say any different?
For info they are in the same pad as the Mike Tunningley Shield pad.
If not then please shout up ASAP as matches are next week!
Can I remind captains to send the scoresheets to me please as soon as they can after the match.
