I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone that helped at yesterday's Annual Championships.
It's a very long day and a lot of hard work goes into putting it on and it wouldn't be possible without players scoring games, getting players to tables and setting up and putting away the equipment.
A special mention to Nigel Stent for helping me run the competitions and to Fiona Halpin-Stent for running the Tea/Coffee stand.
All the results will be put on the website over the next few days.
A big thank you to everyone that turned up earlier this evening to help move tables etc. for our Championships tomorrow.
Good luck to everyone tomorrow!!

Can I ask all players that have entered the Open Doubles to make sure that they are at Worksop Leisure Centre for 8.45am next Sunday morning the 27th of January.
We are playing the Open Doubles matches first, followed by the Draw Doubles and then the Divisional Doubles.
If players are late for their initial start times they may well get scrubbed from the competition as we have a lot of matches to get through.
There will be 12 tables that matches will be played on and therefore a lot to organise and oversee and with this in mind may I remind EVERYONE that there is to be no practicing on tables between matches as we need to see when a table is empty.
Again as in previous seasons Rick Harris has managed to get some free bottles of water from McDonalds for players to have but can I also take this opportunity to ask everyone not just to leave empty bottes of water lying about for others to have to clear up at the end of the day like last year.
If it happens again then water will not be provided the following year as there will be plenty of bins for people to dispose of their rubbish.
One last thing, if you have outstanding entry monies then you will need to pay before you start to play.
Ben Swain will be collecting the entrty monies so please come with the correct change.

As you are all aware our Annual Championships take place a week on Sunday, the 27th of January.
As always we need help in getting tables from Sparken Hill School to the Leisure Centre for them to be set up and ready for matches.
With the above in mind we are asking for volunteers to be at Sparken Hill School at 4.15pm on Saturday the 26th to help load tables on to a van and to then help unload them at Worksop Leisure Centre at 5.00pm.
Once the Championships are over we are then again asking for volunteers on Monday the 28th of January to meet at Worksop Leisure Centre at 6.00pm to help load the tables back up and help unload them again at Sparken Hill School.
If anyone can help on either on the Saturday or the Monday or even both then please e-mail me using [email protected]
