Please find below the details of this season's Junior League run by Paul Johnson at Redlands School.
This is a fantastic opportunity for young people in and around the Worksop area, to access some reasonably regular competitive play against players of a similar age and ability to them. For a lot of players, this may well be their first taste of competitive table tennis, and this should be an opportunity for those players to grasp at and enjoy what competitive table tennis has to offer. For those more experienced players, the league will provide some great local competition against players of a similar age and ability, which will be fantastic for their development within the sport.
The Worksop Junior League is open to boys and girls of all abilities, who live in and around Worksop and who are still at school.
The cost of the league is £25.00, and this covers all 5 days of competition. The league will take place from 1.30pm – 5.00pm on the following Saturday dates:
Saturday 13th October 2018
Saturday 10th November 2018
Saturday 1st December 2018
Saturday 26th January 2019
Saturday 9th March 2019
By registering for the Junior League, players are making a commitment to attend all dates given above.
The format of the league will be, where possible, divisions of 5-7 players, ensuring that all players will have a minimum of 4 singles matches per day. Each match will consist of playing 3 sets where a point is awarded for each set won. After each days play, players will be promoted or relegated depending on points won in that round. Promotion and relegation will only take place across the first 3 rounds, thereafter the divisions will be fixed. The final days play in March will determine the Worksop Junior League champions from each division.
All matches will be played at the following address:
Redlands Table Tennis Centre
Crown Street,
Worksop,
S80 1TH

As the new season is only a few days away can I remind ALL players that they will have to have their Table Tennis England player licence in place BEFORE they play a match in the Worksop League.
The following players have NOT yet renewed their player licences:
Brian Allen

Any player that plays a match but hasn't renweed their licence will have their games scrubbed and if he/she also plays in the doubles then that will be scrubbed as well and this may affect the match score.
It is each individual players responsibility to ensure that they have everything in place before they play and may I also add that if you do not have a valid Table Tennis England licence then you are not covered by their insurance if you have an accident whilst playing.
The above also applies to the Hard Bat Competition on Tuesday the 4th of September.
