As you are all aware, next week is the first batch of matches in the Divisional Cups.
Just for clarity for all of our existing players and for the new teams/players that have not played in the Divisional Cup before I have written below the rules etc:
Division One - David Hooton Trophy
Division Two - Reg Wilcox Trophy
Division Three - MBE Trophy
Each players handicap is worked out by their current individual average (which will be posted out to each team captiain before the match along with the scorecard for the match).
For example, if a player has an individual average of 67% then his handicap will be 33 points (100% minus 67% = 33)
If another player has an individual handicap of 28% then his handicap will be 72 points (100% minus 28% = 72) and so on.
You then add all the points scored on the table to the handicap points and that will give you a final match score.
Whichever side has the most points at the end are the winners.
Another thing to note is that not very player on each side will play each other so it is vital that you rank your teams players in the correct order, again I have given an example below:
Dave Smith 78%
Bill Jones 71%
John Jones 41%
Because Dave Smith (78%) has the highest individual average out of his team he is ranked as Player 1
Bill Jones (71%) has the 2nd highest individual average so he is ranked as Player 2, so therefore John Jones who has the lowest individual average out of his team is ranked Player 3.
Please make sure that the correct names are placed next to the correct player rankings on the scoresheet because it will mess the scoring of the match up if not.
If ANYONE has any issues, questions etc. about the scorecard/scoring/averages etc. then please call me on 07962 963735 and I will be more than happy to explain or help.
If team captains want to download a scorecard and print one off then they can do by going to the Downloads page on the website and clicking on the relevant scorecard.

A reminder that this year's Final's Nights are Tuesday the 13th of March and Tuesday the 27th of March and both are being held at Stanley Street Club.
You will notice that the fixtures in the handbook say differently but one of the dates had to be moved.
Can anyone who has made it through to a Final please let me know if they cannot make either of the above dates.

Kay Wilson has asked me to send out the following message:
As you are probably aware myself (Kay Wilson) and Nick Sievewright are organising a Table Tennis Athon which is taking place in 3 weeks time, Sunday 25th February.
I am writing to you all, in the hope of some help in a few areas. We are in need of Table Tennis Balls, the more the better to help keep play continuous, if anyone has any amount of balls that they would be happy to lend to us for the day that would be great, I promise you will get them back after the event. They will be marked with a tiny coloured dot. Also we really really need a ball person(s), this would make the athon run so much more smoothly and help keep play to be continuous. 1 person throwing and collecting balls for 6 hours is a lot to ask, but if we had 6 willing helpers to do an hour each on the day that would be incredible but at this point we would be grateful for any amount of help. If anyone is interested in helping us on the day or has balls to lend us please call/text me on 07890429868 or email [email protected] it really would be amazing for us and we would be extremely grateful. The event is for Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice.
If anyone would like to sponsor your 14 fellow league members in our charity challenge please contact me on the above details or please come and see us on the day, we would love the support! 9am till 3pm at Worksop Leisure Centre.
Thank you for reading,
Kay
