A reminder that the Table TennisAthon in aid of Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice is taking place this Sunday the 25th February at Worksop Leisure Centre.
If anyone is interested in helping us on the day or sponsoring a player then please call or text Kay Wilson on 07890429868 or email [email protected].
One further development is that Steve Judge who is a two times world champion triathlete has kindly agreed to open the table tennisathon.
Steve was involved in an horrendous car crash and was told that he may never walk again but through his grit and determination he not only got back to walking but he then went on to run again and by his sheer determination he then went on to win the World Championships for triathletes.
His story is nothing short of amazing and he will also be on hand to chat after opening the event and playing the first ball.

Just a little reminder to remember that matches should COMMENCE at 7.00pm wherever possible and that the 7.00pm time isn't the time that you should arrive at.
We are having more and more instances were players are rolling up after 7.00pm and then expecting to knock up for 5 minutes so therefore pushing the actual start time back further and further.
There are also numerous occasions that 'home' players are even turning up late so not even helping to set up their own tables etc. such as at Redlands and at Sparken Hill and last week one of the opposition sides at Sparken Hill were setting up the room with the home players wandering in after 7.00pm which just isn't on.
May I also remind teams that the rules quite clearly state that matches should commence at 7.00pm unless by mutual agreement - in short, if you know your team is going to be late then please at least ring them to let them know.
