This year we have decided to run all the Divisional Handicap Trophy matches with group stages with the winners of each group meeting in the final.
The groups will be split into two groups of four teams but as both Division One and Division Two have 9 teams in them there will have to be one preliminary round game to qualify for the group stages and to leave us with two equal groups of 4 teams.
There is no specific week in the fixture list for the preliminary game so we are giving the teams involved as much notice as possible.
The matches need to be played between the beginning of Novemnber and the end of December to allow players to have played sufficient league games to get a true individual average to make the handicapping as fair as possible.
Can the home team captains contact the away team captains to arrange the game.
David Hooton Trophy
Stanley Street 'A' v DTH Redlands Roosters
Reg Wilcox Trophy
Sparken Hill Blue Jays v DTH Redlands Rookies
Score sheets will be sent out in due course.

As the new season is only just over 2 weeks away can I remind ALL players that they will have to have their Table Tennis Englans licence in place PLUS have paid their Worksop League registration fee BEFORE they play a match in the Worksop League.
Any player that plays a match but hasn't met both of the above criteria will have his games scrubbed and if he/she also plays in the doubles then that will be scrubbed as well and this may affect the match score.
It is each individual players responsibility to ensure that they have everything in place before they play and may I also add that if you do not have a valid Table Tennis England licence then you are not covered by their insurance if you have an accident whilst playing.
In previous years I have chased players and kept people up to date with licences/registrations etc. but this will not happen moving forward, it is each players/teams own resposibility.
The above also applies to the Hard Bat Competition on Tuesday the 5th of September.
