The Saturday morning practice sessions at Worksop Leisure Centre are once again going to be run by players who regularly attend from the Worksop League itself rather than the Leisure Centre starting from this Saturday the 4th of March.
The sessions will start from 8.45am finishing at 11.30am with a cost of just £3.00 per player starting at 8.45am finishing at 11.30am.
Players attending the sessions will now need to pay Kay Wilson rather than the Reception desk and all players are asked to assist in the packing away of the tables and equipment please.
Starting from Thursday 2nd March Howard Knott will be opening Redlands TTC every Thursday night from 6pm until 9pm for an initial period of 8 weeks.
Howard has said that if this is a success then he will seriously consider continuing it throughout the closed season so as they say....use it or lose it!
In response to valued feedback Howard is introducing one new initiative as a trial which is the facility of being able to book a table for the complete evening for the sum of £9 (no matter how many players) to guarantee no waiting or disappointment and to facilitate making private practise arrangements.
For further details and to book in please contact Howard on 07966 452535.

Over the weekend I will be e-mailing out the averages/handicaps as pdf attachments to be used for next week's Divisional Cup Competitions which for anyone that doesn't know are The David Hooton Trophy, The Reg Wilcox Trophy and The MBE Trophy.
Can ALL players make sure that if their team captains have either printed them off or have them on their phones to be able to work out the points before the match.
I will also copy and paste them into the e-mail when I send them out so players have them on their mobile phones.
There are 6 players per match so surely one player per match will have them rather than me having to post them out so can one player per team take responsibility for making sure you have them!

With the ever increasing number of entrants for the Annual Championships and after some constructive feedback from several players the League has decided to move the event from next year to the main hall at Worksop Leisure Centre on Valley Road.
This will enable us to have 10-12 tables to play the events on which will shorten the day, cut down on the length of time some players were sat waiting to play and will be much easier to organise.
In addition to this there are more toilet facilities, vending machines and plenty of outside lighting for those of us who arrive and leave in the dark!
The change of venue will also more than likely allow us to move the Over 50's Singles and Over 60's Singles back into the main Annual Championships rather than holding them on a midweek date.
The League are also looking at introducing an Over 70's Singles Competition depending on numbers.
The simple fact is that although Sparken Hill Academy has served us well in the past we have now outgrown the venue and I hope all of you agree that the decision taken by the Committee is a really positive one.
