Urgent message for all players.
Any table tennis balls that were issued by the league to teams this summer with a batch number of XAAF need to be returned immediately to Andy Lee, failing that you can leave them with Steve walker.
The balls are a faulty batch and will be redistributed once we have received replacements

The league are looking for 2 or 3 people to help run the Saturday Club which is held at Worksop Leisure Centre each week.
Two people can actually set the room up but if we have a bank of people willing to help out we can then lessen the load so to speak.
Anyone willing to help please contact [email protected]

Please note that all matches at Manton Moners Welfare Club will start at 7.30pm until further notice.
This is out of the hands of the teams that play there but it will not be for all of the upcoming season and I will inform all players as soon as it goes back to the normal 7.00pm start and please bear with all the teams that play at Manton until it does.

It with great sadness that the league has to report the passing away of Ken Alvey earlier today. Ken hadn't been playing long in the Worksop League but was often seen in attendance with Richard Element offering his support when Richard was playing.
Although many players in our league may not have known Ken that well there are others that are well aware of the time and effort he put into table tennis, especially in regards to Albert Premier TTC in Sheffield where he was at the forefront of running the club.
On a personal note I shall remember Ken for his dry sense of humour and the laughs we shared along with his willingness to score almost EVERY game he was watching!
But most of all I shall remember Ken for the respect he held with everyone in local table tennis circles.
Our condolences go to all his family.
He shall be missed greatly
