After receiving a number of replies (and applying much thought) in regards to moving Tuesday's Summer League fixtures along with the Semi-Finals and Finals night back a week, it has been decided to leave the fixtures as they are.
There are several players who cannot make the Finals Night if moved back a week so it hardly seems fair that they may miss out. Plus the rules do clearly state that fixtures cannot be re-arranged.
Players have a choice whether or not to watch the England game and it's not because they CAN'T play but more of a case of they don't WANT to play, which I hasten to add is understanderble.
If a team does not turn up they will still have to pay their match fees as per the rules and will lose the match 8-0.
Can I ask that if a team is not attending on Tuesday night that they let me know ASAP so we can let their opponents know.
I appreciate that this decision may not be to the liking of everyone.

As most of you are aware England have lost their final group game tonight so will now meet Columbia on Tuesday night the 3rd of July.
I have had some contact from teams already hinting that they may not be able to field a team because players want to watch the match so can I ask teams opinions on perhaps moving the matches due to be played on Tuesday to the night that the semi-finals and final are due to be played on (21st of August) and moving the semi-finals and final back a week to the 28th of August?
Please let me know your thoughts ASAP please.

Addition To Rule 9 (Fines)
All fines from the previous season must be paid for before the start of the new season. - This was passed unanimously and it was also agreed that teams that incurred fines in the first half of the season must pay them by the end of December and we would trial this for one year.
Addition To Rule 15 (Divisional Handicap Trophies)
Matches can only be played if both teams have 3 players available. - After a lengthy discussuon this propoasal was voted against unanimously in favour of the Committee coming up with an alternative way to decide which teams qualified for the final if teams were level on points rather than a straight points for and against difference which is unfair if only 2 players have turned up for a particular game.
Election Of Officers
The current Committee were elected once again en-bloc.
New Members voted on to the Committee were as follows:
Andy Kirkland
Fiona Halpin-Stent
Kay Wilson
Divisional Representatives would again be introduced from next season and they were elected as follows:

Congratulations to Steve Fox who last night defeated Dave Marsh in the final of the Handicap Singles that was held over from our Finals Night due to injury.
Steve took the first game 21-13 only for Dave to level things by taking the second game 21-17 to take the match into a decider which Steve won by the narrowest of margins 21-19 to clinch the title.
Big thanks to Pete Eyre who arranged for them to play the final at Stanley Street.
