The Committee also decided that the new season will commence with the usual Hard Bat Competition in week commencing 13th September (actual date to be confirmed) and league fixtures in week commencing 20th September.

Thank you to those who provided feedback on the proposal of changing to a Pairs League.
The main question received was in relation to registering more than 2 players which you can.
The majority of the feedback was positive and significantly outweighed the negative.
To clarify, that the rules currently in place will apply to the Pairs League.
For Example
1. Players can play for a higher division team.
2. A third player can play in the doubles.
After considering the feedback the Committee is recommending the introduction of the Pairs format for the forthcoming season and that it will be reviewed at the end of the season.
To progress to the next stage our membership has to agree to our recommendation.
Therefore we ask each player to either vote for the Pairs format or stick with the current format.
Can you please cast your vote by the 2nd July by replying either FOR or AGAINST to:
Following the vote the Committee will adopt the format the majority of the membership prefer.
If you wish to ask any questions before voting please do so by email to: [email protected]
Further to my recent e-mail regarding the proposal of having a Pairs League rather than the usual 3 man team league I just wanted to clarify one point.A few people that have replied stating that only having two players per team may cause issues around availability, just so we are all clear, you can have more than two players in a squad.
Point 11 for pros was merely suggesting that if two players knew that they were available to play every match then teams have the option of only registering 2 players, it wasn't a proposed rule.
