Monsters Go Back On Top In Style
DTH Redlands Monsters jumped back to the top of Division One with a thumping 10-0 win over their club rivals DTH Redlands X-Youth who are currently rooted to the bottom of the table. The Monsters side had little trouble in overcoming their opponents and there was hat trick all round for the three Riauba brothers Valentinas, Orestas and Martynas with Martynas then teaming up with Orestas to take the doubles match to complete the scoring. It looks like a long season ahead for the X-Youth side but Keiran Tutter, Clive Eden and Matt Turner can all take some comfort in the fact that they all had some close games with the Monsters who although head the division, will face much tougher opposition in their next two matches which are against two of the top sides in the league.
Level on points with the Monsters are Worksop Miners Welfare who…full report »
Vultures Maintain 100% Record
Sparken Hill Vultures continued their perfect start to their Division Two league campaign with a 10-0 thumping of Stanley Street ‘B’. The Vultures trio of Steve Elkin, Ben Crapper and James Wormwell had too much for their opponents which reflected on the scorecard with only one match going to a deciding set which was the doubles match which included Street’s best player Mark Sansom but as he only played in the doubles and not the singles it gave the Ospreys a much easier night than they had expected and their victory now leaves them 3 points clear of their rivals at the top of the Division Two table with a game in hand on some of them.
One such rival team are Manton Sports who like the Vultures had won 3 games out of 3 before this week but they didn’t play their strongest team against their club…full report »

It’s Neck And Neck At Top Of Two
As the new league season starts to take shape the early front runners in Division Two cannot be separated as they have both won their opening two games and have an identical set difference. Manton Sports and Stanley Street ‘B’ are locked together at the top of the table and both enjoyed wins this week but with rather different levels of ease.
Stanley Street ‘B’ eased to a very comfortable 10-0 win over DTH Redlands Rookies with hat tricks all round for Mark Sansom, Ralph Rodda and Andy Kirkland with Sansom and Chris Tilstone adding the doubles to complete the whitewash over a Rookies side that included Elliott Jordan, Chris Clemson and Perry Bradford who was playing up from Division Three.
